One of the most common requests we’ve consistently had posed to us is are we ever going to release RocketTheme themes for WordPress. Originally RocketTheme was started as a Joomla Template Club. Over the years the club has grown year-over-year to be one of the most recognized authorities in Joomla template design. We have many thousands of happy customers but some of those customers don’t just work with Joomla, they work with other platforms such as Drupal and Wordpress. Rather than focusing on one solution, they deploy the platform that best suits the needs of their clients and customers. At the end of last year we launched our highly successful phpBB3 Theme Club. Today we are pleased to announce that in the very near future we plan on launching a new WordPress Theme Club to bring the world of RocketTheme designs and forums to the WordPress community.
WordPress is the leading opensource blogging platform, and for many people, WordPress is a great solution for a variety of needs rather than something more powerful and complex like Joomla or Drupal. We’re excited to become a part of the WordPress community as a whole and we think this new offering will allow us to provide solutions for more of our existing club members, as well as provide an avenue to become part of the ever-growing RocketTheme member community for WordPress users and integrators.
We’ll be launching with a few choice themes to get the club started and will of course be expanding and adding to this portfolio of themes in the coming months. Also we have plans to release some more free GPL designs for both WordPress and Joomla in the coming months as well as some other “big” announcements, so stay tuned for more great stuff from RocketTheme.
